Though a natural born healer, it wasn't until later in my life that I recognized my gifts. Daughter of an Air Force pilot, I was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio. After being transferred to several different bases in several different states, my father left the Air Force and we settled in our family's hometown of Brookston, Indiana.

I married a career Army pilot from Brookston, and over the next 22 years we raised three daughters, (Leah, Erin, & Lacey), lived many places, including three years in Germany, traveled the United States, and welcomed two grandsons, Dawson, and Tristan, and a grandaughter, Jaylin.

After divorcing in my early 40's, and with my children grown, I was forced to take a look at myself and my life. No longer "someone's wife", or just "someone's mother", who was I, really? What did I want from life? Would I be okay on my own? The search for these answers, and more, are what motivated me to begin my spiritual path.

It didn't take long to recognize the fact that I was a natural healer and an empath. Finally I understood the reason for my high sensitivity level, and why people, even strangers, always came to me with their problems.

I spent a few years working on myself, learning to love myself, and getting my life back on track. During this time, I left my job to care for my mother who was dying of cancer. The "month or two" she was expected to live, turned into "five" months and when I returned to my job after my mother had passed, I found my position had been eliminated company wide.

I had created an herbal healing salve for my mother which had turned out to be truly amazing. More and more, people were asking for it, Knowing that I did not want to return to "corporate america", I decided to produce my salve and handmade soaps and sell them to local shops and on the internet. This income was enough to support me for awhile while I figured out what I wanted to do with my life.

Spirit let me know pretty quickly, that I was to be using my healing gift to help others and to help in healing the planet. I did alot of research on different healing modalities, picking and choosing what felt right for me, and then took Reiki Level I & II, becoming a Reiki Practitioner. (I have since received my certification for Reiki Master/Teacher).

In the Fall of 2005 I was diagnosed with cancer and underwent two surgeries, a skin graft, and a six-week course of radiation. Wow, the lessons I learned from THAT experience! First of all, I realized what can happen when we hold on to anger and/or resentment. In addition, the lessons and experiences I gained while being a "cancer patient" are invaluable. Ever grateful for the experience, that is all behind me now, and I'm not looking back!

Continuing on my healing path, I began offering energy sessions at a local shop in Clarksville, Tennessee. I incorporated a combination of reiki, my own intuition, (listening to Spirit, my guides and angels), crystals, essential oils, and love, and just allowing myself to become a vessel.

Again moving on, and eventully opening our own business, Celestial Esscents, Frank and I began offering our services there. I enjoyed nearly five wonderful years of meeting some very special people and forming some deep friendships. We closed our business in the summer of 2011. Now, after enjoying some much needed time for rest and growth, I'm excited to be offering my healing services again.

Currently, I live in Charlotte, TN with my little Shih Tzu, Willow. In my spare time, I love making handmade soap, using the cold-process method. I'm not sure it's still considered a hobby if I do it for a living..but I still love it! I enjoy being in nature and marvelling at the wonders around us. Another favorite of mine is astronomy. I cannot pass up a beautiful, clear, night sky without looking up and finding all of my favorite constellations and planets. I also enjoy cooking, reading, and SNOW!
